Hike the Valley for the St Joseph's Villa Foundation and Margaret's Place, hosted by the Dundas Valley Golf and Country Club was a hole-in-one success!
Over 400 participants and volunteers marched the trails on this fairy-tale course, wish I had my clubs but that probably would've ruined a great walk.
The weather cooperated and the rain seemed to be everywhere but over the valley, Lion Don Davidson has a direct line to the "Big Guy" or possibly the St Joseph's Sisters who led the pack off the start! We're blessed we got through it without the wetness, for sure!
Don and his crew were astounding with the volunteers. Thank you for your efforts and each person for their time and support!
The Dundas Lions Club, under the leadership of Lion Greg Best, did their best to keep the 4 legged creatures hydrated and happy! Lion Greg later presented a generous donation showing our continued support for Margaret's Place and the work they do.
The event was a fantastic success with the target goal of over $100,000 reached!
Thank you to everyone! When a community sets its mind, anything is possible! I hope all walkers are not stiff or sore in the following days and are ready for the next adventure to make this world a better place for all.
